Reaper's Story

When Reaper first started gaming, none of us could’ve predicted how quickly he’d take to it. He earned his first Nintendo Switch at five and a half after nearly eight months of chores and saving. My wife later surprised him with a PS5, and that’s where things started to click.

At first, it was Fortnite—and honestly, playing against him was fun… until it wasn’t. Within months, I realized something had shifted. He wasn’t just improving; he was studying the game. Every match became a lesson in timing, aim, and movement. The day I realized playing against him wasn’t enjoyable anymore was the day I knew he had something different.

In August of 2024, I built him his first gaming PC. By early 2025 he had moved into Call of Duty, and by spring, he discovered Rebirth Island. That smaller map with Warzone’s feel but multiplayer pace changed everything for him — he was hooked.

We had been running Multiplayer together, and match after match, he consistently topped the scoreboard. His precision, movement, and awareness had evolved beyond what I could teach. That’s when I knew he needed professional coaching. We found BboyBroccoli, one of the best Warzone coaches in the game, and within the first couple of weeks Reaper dropped a 27 Kill solo game, followed a few months later by a 21 Kill match in Solo Duos.

Today, he’s grinding for Iridescent in Ranked and has already stepped into tournament play. Watching his skill and game sense develop has been incredible — not just as his dad, but as someone who knows what dedication looks like. Reaper doesn’t just play the game; he studies it, lives it, and keeps getting better every single day.
